'Sleep you', I sang this lullaby to my children when they were small. Since they have grown into adventurous young adults it seems fitting to follow it with Llongau Caernarfon 'The Ships of Caernarfon'. the singer is a young man keen to travel, to get work on one of the ships taking blue slates under white sails to Ireland and France.

Canwn yr hwiangerdd hon i’m plant pan oeddent yn fach. Gan eu bod bellach yn oedolion ifanc anturus, mae fel petai’n deilwng ei dilyn â Llongau Caernarfon.
